As proof of the niceness, she randomly sent me a bundle of lovely Kei Honeycombs the other day. Once I got over the squealing and excitement (and wrestled them away from the kids) I decided that what I really needed was a wallet. Pretty much everything else in my handbag (including the handbag) is handmade, and having a boring old leather purse was just not good enough. I have extremely high standards, you know.
I used this fabulous tutorial, with minor modifications (instead of folding over and topstitching the pieces for the credit card holder, I doubled the fabric so that they were fully lined). Topstitching through the million layers was interesting, but I used the walking foot and a size 16 needle and it went just fine.

That really has to be one of my top 10 funniest blog titles ever. All accompanied by such a lovely wallet. Found your blog by following a link to the QuIltcon quilt show and eventually to the Flickr entries page. I've been meandering happily through your blog ever since.
