Why I need to get out more

Katie (the puppy) is a master of toy destruction and can decapitate pretty much any squeaky animal in less time than it takes to get it home from the shops. I'm fairly sure she's not alone in this talent, so I don't hold it against her. Instead, I thought it might be nice to commemorate her kills.
Yes, I know vulture is spelled wrong. That's how my son says it.
I have a whole stack of little wooden plaques just waiting for their heads. Dog toy taxidermy – it's the new big thing.

  1. Charlotte you are brilliant! I think you will have to give up on your idea of going back to Regency times though as they may have locked you up:-)

  2. so brilliant!! Your children are being very good about it, when our dogs chewed any of my daughter toys - there were tears.

  3. Ha ha ha! These are brilliant! Soon you will have a wall full of doggy toy trophies, secure in the knowledge that no animals were harmed in the making of these mementos x

  5. Charlotte, my dog Buzz (may he rest in peace) was an artist of a similar sort:

  8. Ha! I gave up buying toys for my dog after a few years... It was a game in our house to place bets for how long it'd take him to tear it up. They never last more than a few hours...

  9. that's freaking hilarious! I wish I'd thought of that when Bea was a puppy. Although it would be a sad little display as I think we gave up after the third stuffy.

  18. My new puppy adopted an eerily similar frog. So far the head and limbs are intacct... she treats it like it's her only friend. I think it has a couple more weeks in it, but if it comes to decapitation, I'm totally stealing your idea! :)
